Ok, so I was just painting a bit...(I am painting a very special Christmas gift for a very special someone,) and everyone else thinks it is "coming out great" and "looks awesome" and "wow, I could never do that!" While I know, on the other hand, that I am in desperate need of some professional assistance!! People who don't paint can't understand oils...they are (i think) the hardest paints to paint with, but also the most fun to use and the best looking pictures when it's done (if you do it right). Probably the majority of famous paintings you know of are oils. They look so realistic and detailed. And anyways, my painting looks ok...but I am a perfectionist and its not even close to perfect. Luckily my mom is an expert at this stuff and can help me out over the vacation. Then hopefully I will have the necessary knowledge to fix and perfect my painting just in time for Christmas.
So this weekend was fun! I went out Friday night with Melissa, Nate, and Paul to Maggiano's restaurant for dinner! Great Italian food, and Paul made a reservation for the four of us, because you would have to wait hours to get a seat on a Friday! We had a good time and I had never eaten there before, so that was nice to go to some place new! I worked friday and saturday this weekend, but that's ok because I got out of work Sat. and met Nate at the T, to take the communter to Hanson. We got to go and see Jed's musical, it was really good and he did awesome!! Then we went to eat, and later met up with Sharon and Reid. Stumbled home around 1-ish, and got up for church the next morning. Then I got a good amount of Christmas shopping done before we headed back to Boston. All and all it was a good weekend...and pretty soon I will have to get up and go to Chem Lab...pooh! Ok well, I'd better get to bed then...If I don't update for a while...Have a Happy Thanksgiving!! Enjoy the Pumpkin Pie, I know I will!!!
