Escaping the City

So, this weekend. Heading out to Halifax to house/animal-sit for Nate's parents Thursday to Sunday ended up being an outdoor, sport-filled, all around good time! He and I got everything ready Friday morning and then picked up Nora and Tellef off the commuter. Bailey and Ethan drove over from his house later in the day.
While Tellef was constantly looking for something to do, I feel the weekend was pretty eventful. We ate dinner and rented a movie Friday night. "Tristram Shandy: A Cock and Bull Story" was, odd. I enjoyed it, pretty funny but a bit weird. Anyway, blueberry picking in the AM on Saturday and then making blueberry crisp and muffins! Throughout the day there was plenty of swimming, volleyball and softball to make us all exhausted by the time dinner came. With the Red Sox game and then another movie ("Finding Neverland," which was really good!) we were all passed out from the day! In the morning everyone just got everything together and ready for later. After a planned ultimate frisbee game fell through, we all played toss and then some more volleyball before we realized it was time to leave.
All and all, I am so tired and look like I got a bit of sun, but I am so glad that we had this weekend away from the city at least once this summer! It's not that I dont love the city, it's just that when you are use to being outside on these beautiful sunny summer days you miss it.
Hopefully the weekend in New Bedford will be just as nice, with everyone there and playing softball. I Cant Wait!!
