Zorra arrived today. After a long trip from TN in a big truck with many other dogs she was picked up and brought an additional hour away to our apartment. She is extremely timid and nervous right now, though in just the 7 hours we have had her there have been great improvements.
We are dog sitting and Fiji, the small Harvanese, who is surprisingly making this adjustment easier for Zorra. Fiji is leading her around the neighborhood, try to play with her, sharing her food and toys, and showing her that we are safe and nice people. Zorra is already fond of Fiji and following her around. It will be sad when Fiji must go home, but for now I am glad she is here to help.
